The Experiential Guide Books
Why do so many weddings feel pretty much the same? When people approach wedding planning as a purely logistical and aesthetic process——booking the venue, choosing the color palette, planning the menu——they lose sight of the human element——the moments, emotions, and connections. But what if instead of just designing weddings around how things look, we could design them around how they feel?
An experiential wedding is not about following the latest trends, it’s about expanding the focus beyond the details, to the intentional moments, rituals, and experiences that ensure everyone feels a deep sense of belonging. The kind of wedding that sticks to the bones. That forges new connections, and deepens existing ones.

About the Author
Before becoming an experience designer, Julie Comfort was a destination wedding photographer for more than ten years. When she ultimately decided to combine these two worlds, she realized that weddings can be so much more meaningful, more moving, and more memorable if we put the human experience at the center of the design process. Her approach to weddings is infused with deep empathy for the messiness, tenderness, and vulnerability of being human. The result is transformative experiences that stick to the bones.
